I upgraded from a JBJ 24gal nano to a 40gal tank.

I bought 2 new "fancy" clowns yesterday. From yesterday afternoon, to this morning, both clowns have been swimming up and down in the front left corner of the tank.

I fed them a few hours after I drip acclimated them to the tank and they ate just fine.

Is this normal clown behavior? The just keep swimming up and down in the front right corner of the tank (as of this morning).

Water parameters are all good.

This is normal behavior for clowns that are adapting to their new home. Give them a week or two and you should see them start exploring your 40 gal.

Also, my blue maxima clam (3") is not opening very full.....in the old tank he was very happy. Not so much in the new tank. Does it take a few weeks for clams to acclimate to the new lighting system?

I had a pair of clowns that floated at the top of the water and basically laid on their side the whole time watching me. That's part of the appeal of clowns is the diverse personalities they show. Got rid of those eventually though lol. I like fish who swim about in the tank personally lol
