New CO2 scrubber

Good afternoon everyone, So I have a Reef Octo 2000 HOB skimmer, and just purchased a small ICe Cap Scrubber. The directions are not the best. Is there anyone one here who can help me with how to hook it up> I am thinking that removing the silencer and running the 3/8 hose from the skimmer straight into the pump for the skimmer, but I don't know if that sounds crazy, or correct.

pull the line from the skimmer pump to the silencer from the silencer and run it into your scrubber.. basically the scrubber is your new silencer.
