Hi everyone, I just bought my first anemone and its a Condylactis, my water parameters are within the range of what anemones in general require, but you know how you always think you are ready for a new specimen and once you have it in the tank you start wondering if you were actually ready for it?

Well thats my case, I have a T5 lighting with 2 halide lamps, problem is, I had a little flood a couple months ago and my ballasts got wet, it has 4 48" actinic blue bulbs. Will this sytem be enough or should I get the ballasts?

Another thing is: I acclimated using the drip method for about 45 minutes but now (4 hours later) my anemone doesnt look too good. Any ideas?

Stress! Put it in a lower flow area if possible and give it time to acclimate. And yes get the ballast as Condy's need lots of light. Don't think the T5's only will be enough.

T5 will be enough light for condy depending where in the tank it settles. I had one that I grew to dinner plate size for about 5 years in a 55 with a two bulb fixture. They are a lot less light demanding than most other nems. But after saying all that, if you can afford it, I would get the MH fixed and use them

I think you are right (or at least I hope so) last night I put the anemone in a low flow area but it decided to move again to an area with even lower flow. This morning it was looking better but when I came back from work it looked bad again so I decided to feed some shrimp to it and after putting the shrimp piece right on top of its mouth, my columbian sharks stole it but it made the anemone expand and so I fed it again and this time I made sure I kept the other fish away and it ate and its looking better now but I notice this weird looking spot on the right side of the picture, it looks brown-ish in color. DOes anyone know what this is?

One more question. I have 4 blue actinic lights bulbs, should I get a couple of full spectrum or 50/50?
