I just opened a brand new container of Purigen, and when I broke the seal, it has a yellow-tan color and a slightly vinegary smell. Anyone ever experience this? I thought it was usually white and odorless. I haven’t used it in a while and just decided to order some.

I would think its fine, but contact Seachem before using it.

What was the verdict on the seachem if you don't mind me asking just bought some and the same thing happened to me.

What was the verdict? Did you use it. Me too! Mine is orangey in color. I used it anyway. There is another thread that mentions Seachem said the color can vary from white to tan to Orange depending on batch.
