New Copper Banded Butterfly

Pretty excited, just bought a new CBB, I made sure he was feeding well before I brought him home. After acclimating to my tank he was already feeding off the rocks. Hopefully he'll take to mysis shrimp, the lfs was feeding him mysis shrimp and fish eggs.

I also just picked up a CBB recently. Mine is eating PE mysis voraciously, picks at other mysis and spirulina brine. He already decimated my feather duster population and hopefully will move on to aiptasia very soon!

Very pretty fish. My royal gramma warned him off at first, but he appears to be leaving the CBB alone. My onyx clowns seem to be scared of him. He is now the largest fish in the tank at between 4 and 5 inches.

They are a great fish. Good luck! I have had mine for about 2 months. My has been eating mysis, brine, and a mix of other frozen cubed food. By far my favorite fish.

They do well with once a day frozen mysis. I do a hole cube for the tank, and every fish gets their share (11 fish in a 125 gallon tank)

Do you by chance know if chocolate chip star and CBB get along? It seems our CBB likes to pick at our star every once in awhile.

No idea, if the star is fine, then I would not be worried.

I dont want to hijack this thread but this really ticks me off....I know that space is at a premium, but come on! Fish stored do this all the time and appear to be shocked when a 6" fish jumps out of a 10 gallon tank or gets ick from being stressed......i am really glad you saved this fish from the situation it was in.....I'm sure it will be much happier and healthier

I got mine last november at my LFS cheap. What a great fish!!! I was worried that he might start nipping on my corals but it's been fine so far. He greets me every time I walk into the room.
