New Copperband

Just got a new lil copper band in today i have him drip acclimating and bought these clams for him hopefully he’ll eat! he was sparingly going after mysis and brine at the lfs nothing to much but at least he was eating

Anybody ever keep a copper-band for a longer period of time and have some tips for me?

From what I understand if your copperband was eating at your LFS already that's a good sign.

While they will cherish clam on a shell, not an ideal first food (see below) best when it was eating at store would have been to ask what they were feeding it. Copperbands rarely eat first day or two and rather explore their new surroundings.
Good first foods are:
Masticks
blackworms
live brine shrimp
Spirulina brine shrimp
LRS Herbivore diet
