New coral frag looks sick.

I picked up this Frag last Saturday at fragtoberfest, everyday, it just appears to get sadder and sadder. Any help would be appreciated. (I'm totes a reef noob lol)

I don't know....Lights are tuned to 30% whites and 50% blues. Blues are on from 12 to 8 whites are on from 1:30 to 7:30.

how deep is the tank?
age of the tank?
did you drop it? the sharp skeleton cuts the flesh pretty easy if handled roughly.

The tank is 18 inches deep. I don't think it was handled roughly, though the car ride was an hour.

The Alkalinity is a tad high, not terribly so, but an educated guess would say the tank the frag came from wasn't 10 DKH.
Low to moderate light, low to medium flow, and a regular feeding will keep most Acans happy

Best course if action is... No action... Alkalinity will drop by itself as it's used up by whatever corals you have in your tank. What I wouldn't do is be adding g things like 2 part until you know what YOUR tank requires.
Regular testing of the tank allows you to get to know your system and it's specific requirements
There really isn't anything wrong with an DKH of 10. Some people's tanks thrive much higher. It's the acclimating of new corals that becomes the challenging part if you are beyond what many sellers keep their tanks

I am no expert, but if the rest of your tank is happy, I would let the Acan adapt. They are fairly hardy. If you buy from an LFS with a much lower Alkalinity, or salinity for that matter, you may want to consider a slow acclimation.
