New coral harming other corals?

How's it going guys? Today i purchased a beautiful long tentacle plate coral and it is just gorgeous. I was wondering if the introduction of a new coral can stunt other corals. My hammer, brain, green polyps dont seem to be opening all the way, more like halfway. I have a 30 gallon. The plate coral is doing just fine though.

Any changes to your tank can tick off corals but I wouldn't worry unless you see this problem continue for at least a few more days

Adding a plate should have no affect on the others unless making contact, or if you dumped the water in from the vendor. Never introduce outside water into your tank.

You probably just stressed them out a bit, give it a day or two.
