New coral help

Hi just bought this not really shore what it is

Paid £8 really not shore if it was a good deal

Duncans are good

Majanos are bad

They're an invasive pest that will sting and outcompete your other corals...
If, it is majano.

I think you have duncans, but still need better pictures...

That appears to be a Duncan coral. Fairly hardy from my experience. I have 2 huge colonies, one of which I saved from 3 tiny beat up looking polyps. Looks like a couple of the polyps on that one are beat up pretty bad? And the flow looks a bit too much for it right there or its up against the glass, hard to tell from the pic. Perhaps try a lower flow area and see if that helps it out.

Kool it does have a skeleton little like a hammer coral

I don't necessarily feed mine, although when they catch a small particulate of frozen food they will eat it. I have some cleaner shrimp that usually steal whatever they catch. I have mine at the bottom of my 120g and I use LED lighting.

These are my two colonies. The smaller in the right is about 15-18 heads now. That was the one I saved from 3 really beat up heads almost 2 years ago.

And I think your price you listed is pretty fair as some of our LFSs sell a single head for $35 around here. Which I think is ludicrous! A fair price per head around here when dealing with local enthusiasts is about $3-5ish or $20-35 for a small colony....
