WOW...this copy of the 150mm sigma lens is AMAZING! i couldn't even get close to pics like this with my previous copy of the lens. which is really disconcerning that you $600 for something that shouldn't have passed quality control.

none of these pics have been cropped, sharpened, or adjusted in any way. they are straight off the camera, just resized them for internet viewing.

and now some cropping action of some of the exact images above! i just wish i had some fancy software to smooth/sharpen the images up a bit after cropping.

I'm glad someone other than myself, has an appreciation for tulip anemones & doesn't consider them pests!

well, i liked them until one decided to attach right beside my first and only acan, then preceded to walk directly over the 6 polyp frag and kill the entire thing.

the one in the above picture is dangerously close to my only florida rics...so it may have to go once i get ahold of some kalk or joes juice.

i do keep a bunch of them as well as rock anemones in my mantis tank. they look cool in there although the color isn't as good under PC's.

thanks guys......i would have taken some pics of my monti's......but they are all very ticked off at the moment and closed up b/c i think my flame angel is picking at all of them.

he will be coming out of the tank sometime tonight once i catch him.

WOWOWOW!!!

awesome shots and awesome corals... I think I know what I'll be investing on in the near future.. ;)

Great looking pics! I'm really liking the Australian delicate. I think that pic just put it on my most wanted list.

Great stuff man. Looks like you are having fun!

Sigma was having some quality control issues with a couple of its other model lenses and finally got the issue under control. I had not heard that they were having issues with the 150mm. I have a sneaky suspicion that they are being assembled in China, which is notorious for quality control issues out of some of the private for hire assembly plants.

Good information to know especially from someone first hand. Thanks.

it has a neat coral structure, but it is VERY delicate...like the name suggestions. i usually break a couple points off every time i touch it. mine is currently a blah brown with blue tips, not really that pretty IMO.

but i've seen them like a very dark, dark army green in some tanks (XM 20k 400w).........i just wish they had some better coloring.

oh yeah, i am having tons of fun now!

its such a relief that i wasn't just having user error or a problem with my camera body. but at the same time, kinda sucks that they would send you a defective $600 lens.

thats some interesting info about the sigma lenses. where did you hear that? i should probably put a review up on B&H about the problem i had with my first lens copy.

Dude those macros are great!! You can see for sure that the other lens was defective compared to these.
