New, coral question....

Good afternoon! Here's a picture of "something" that came with our tank when we brought it home yesterday. First, what is it? Second, the 'pink' parts look great, but we're concerned about the white parts. Are they normal? Or, did those parts die off when we transported them yesterday? (Only about an hour, in water, placed directly back in tank when we got home.)

Looks like a Xenia but not sure what has caused it to go white in places?
