I'm half way trough my fallow period and now worried about after wards when adding new corals ... any input on coral quarantine in relation to possibly transferring ich or velvet. I'll be Bayer dipping over two weeks for other pests. All advice appreciated [emoji3]

Set up a coral/ invert qt tank to sit fallow for 76 days. I am just finishing my fallow period. After loosing all but my clownfish to velvet, I'm not messing around anymore  I just set up my first coral qt tank. It's a ten gallon with HOB filter. As far as I know, that's the only way to be sure.

^^ This. 45 days of isolation in a fishless environment affords you protection against the tomont stage of most parasites. But there is one strain of ich which was documented to have a longer life cycle, so 76 days would be required to protect you from that.
