New Critter Noticed...

Happy New Year everyone. Need help identifying this critter and should I keep or remove? As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe the recommended advice is to take it out and get a clearer picture if possible. If it’s safe it can be re introduced.

Does it cast a web of mucus into the water? Vermetid snail?

Unfortunately, I cant remove the colony to take another pic and yes it does have some mucus coming from it. I have seen it turn around in place also.

Just looked up Vermetid Snails, and yup. Looks alot like it. Keep or get rid of it? If so, how to get rid? Thanks.
