I spotted this lil thing last night. It was all fleshy, between a quarter and nickel in size. Brownish grey color. No shell like a Stomatella snail, I do have one of those and i saw it on a different rock. What is it? Is it friendly? Will it eat me? Lol.

Polyclad flatworm not so friendly I would try to siphon it out.

They are actually kind of cool. I found one once and tried to keep it alive for a bit in a separate tank.

Thanks guys. I will attempt to remove the rock next time I see it, although this is the first time I've seen it and I haven't added any thing new in months. I have had 3 snails die, but I blamed it on my hermits since they promptly wore the shells. Maybe it wasn't murder hermits but this flatworm?

I will be doing a tank transfer to a slightly larger tank soon, and planned on running these rocks with livestock in a temp barebottom tank so hopefully I can seek and destroy this thing.

If you have a reef club in your area someone might take it off you so you don't have to kill it. The other posters have a good point they're interesting creatures and have a beautiful pattern despite being voracious predators. If I found one I would prob set up a species only tank for it. But I live right by the beach with free snails and clams galore.
