This is my new custom cabinet for my new 75 gallon set up. The guy did an awesome job. Some pics, one of the guy’s business card in case anyone is interested.

That turned out really well and looks a lot sturdier than a store bought. Good decision on your part for getting it custom built.

This looks super sturdy and has a full open front and back - very nice! Are you planning to finish it or leave it natural? If you are going to finish it, what are your plans?

The open front was one of the “must” when I talked to the guy who built it. I want to be able to pull my sump out every year or two to clean it out. I plan to finish it with a light stain.

very very nice indeed!

I'm also curious about your finishing plans?
To be honest I haven’t gotten that far in the planning stage. I guess I will just leave it unstained for a while so I can concentrate on the rest of the tank build.
Dang! Lots of work settling up a coral reef tank!!

Very nice stand.

Just a suggestion - you may want to stain it sooner than later because it is difficult to not get any water on the stand and until you stain and seal it the wood won't be waterproof and could result in unwanted discolorations. Either way - best of luck with that very nice stand!

You make a good point. I think I will heed your advice!
