New cycle

I am easing into the hobby. I have a tank cycling. I added 2 live rock one is growing algae like I expect and the other started growing something else. Is this a pest?

Hey just wanted to make sure you weren’t adding ammonia to that system, the rock is already cycled indeed. Nice find! I would pay money for a pseudocorynactis frag but u got a free one. That animal being adhered to your rock specifically means the rock has a full complement of filtration bacteria, plus freebies and coralline too, nice sourcing there
