Hello everyone :),

Im new here, and ive come here to really ask this question,

Im looking for someone to talk, maybe who has had experience to tell me more about coral farming, and nurseries in the coral sea, of the coast of Sydney and Brisbane. I really like the idea of setting up my own company in selling corals and growing them, but obviously this comes at a big price of needing to get licences and visa as im currently in the Uk. Im currently 15 and simply looking.

I was told that Australian government are selling plots of land for coral re conservation and for growing corals and so is fiji, so does this mean i could grow corals, sell half for profit and the other half for reconstructing the reefs? anyone know anything about this?

I had an idea of having a flow breeder, which is where you build a warehouse under sea level, as have the water from the ocean, flowing through the warehouse, through channels, and i grow corals in those channels, and then the water flows back out to see, after being checked through chemical machines, checking for deases. So its still safe for the ocean.
Anyone help me on what i could do?

Thanks alot
Mike

Edit: i best also ask, qualifications, will i need a degree in marine biology, or can i act more like a "fisherman" for marine life and conservation, aswell as own benefit?

No need to test leaving water for corals really, unless the facility is inland, and you are about to dump a mass amount of water. Do you have any prior coral growing experience?

I plan to build it, in a remote area in-between Sydney and Brisbane, practically on the beach, and the water will just flow straight through the warehouse and out the other side, at the same rate its flowing in, and not really, im 15 at the moment, and have always been interested in it, i have loads of fish tanks, but no growing experience of corals. Id like to make it so its natural, it doesn't even require extra lighting, as the roof will be glass, to let heat and light in.
