New dark spot on Kole Tang

I've had a kole tang in QT for about a week. It's been eating well and settled in nicely. Yesterday I noticed a small dark spot on its side. Today it's gotten a little larger and darker. I haven't started treating with any meds yet, should I start with antibotics? I've got kanaplex and metroplex on hand, and could pick up some furan too.

Very interesting, that sure seems to describe what I'm seeing. I've never heard of that before, but thanks for the info. I'll keep a close eye on it and may start up with antibiotics tomorrow.

A box of Furan2 would be nice to have in your fish med kit. With it you'd be able to dose the "trifecta" of Kanaplex + Metro + Furan2 for those nasty bacterial infections that need to be treated ASAP.
