Well I broke the 55, and now I have a 120...So here goes with the design for it. Right now all i have done is the skin of the stand and canopy, and i have begun the detail for the canopy. This will get more complex as I go along so stay tuned.
Floor to ceiling 75 inches wide. It will be trimmed in and painted to match the walls, or close to them. Tank is 72" long, 24" high, and 18" wide.
Canopy will have a removable light tray, that will house two 400w 20k halides, and two T5HO actinics to start with. If this is too much blue, I will add more T5s later to tone it down. It will also have a bathroom vent fan installed to vent the hot air outside the house. The light tray can be installed at various heights from the surface for new bulbs, or a light change, coral bleaching, or heat issues. The front has been removed for clarity, and when installed will be on a piano hinge to the ceiling so it can swing up and out of the way. It will be supported by struts with locks.
Here is the 55 gallon sump/fuge Im going to build. The skimmer is not to scale, but everythign else is.
More to come.
