Hi
Ive been on here a couple months and love the variety of topics and discussions. Im from South Africa and have done marines in the begining from aged 13 - stopped for a very long time, traveled parts of the world and got married. My wife was never into the ocean or tanks alike. Let me tell you - when the bug bit i could not stop her - proper addiction going on here. So i have no issues buying things.

We started a full on reef tank and managed to get it to an amazing stage. For some unknown reason - i did not test, but the tank crashed and we lost everything in a matter of 3 days.
We were and i was totally devestated - i hate losing anything living. I decided that was it. I turned the tank into a planted freshwater aquarium and my wife saved a few zoas which she kept and maintained in a 2.5g tank in our kitchen. This tank flourished and as the drive to have something better took over, i bought her a 10g all in one tank. Still in our kitchen.
Its been running nearly a year now but the inspiration ive seen here for drop offs has kicked in.
Ive been planning for months, learning sketchup etc. Ive started the build and will use alot of the old equipment.
Ill post some pics now and continue the story....

Welcome to R2R, really like the drop on tank concept. I have seen were there is a over hang/shelf coming off the top part of the tank so looks like half of the reef is floating. Looking forward to the build
