From my experience try to keep a routine with the same tools, feed in the same manner every time, I used tongs and started with ghost shrimps, I would tap my tank with the tong and toss a shrimp few days later I started grabbing the live ghost shrimps with them tongs tap the tank to get a reaction after a week or so he was realizing me in the room after a tap on the tank food was coming and started to sever dead which he did not take because it was not animated, with a straw I would stuff dead krill and pretended they were alive that worked but if I used the tong with dead krill he would ignore it but a few days without food they will eventually start snapping and knowing your presence means food. Now I tap my tank and both my fuzzy will scramble out from where ever they are to eat they know the tap means food.. also a good way to show them off tap tap and they scramble for food lol
