New Ecotech MP-40wqd issue

I have an older MP40qd from around 2015 with a silent power supply.

Just picked up two used ones with a different model power supply that makes a good bit of noise (and seems to mimic the randomness of the pump in lagoon mode).

Just picked up two used ones with a different model power supply that makes a good bit of noise (and seems to mimic the randomness of the pump in lagoon mode).

Do you think its safe to run them? I mean I rather play it safe and just order the new supplies but just curious to why a power supply would just randomly hum like that. And yea it churps on and off with the pulsing mode.

I'm not 100% but I think it means they are just low quality, but not necessarily unsafe. Mine aren't terribly loud and are behind a wall anyway, so I'm using them as-is
