New Emperor angel question

How long did it take your new emperor to eat I have a juvenile got from a friend was eating good for him it nips at algae etc hasn’t had it not even 24 hours yet

Mine iirc was 3 days. Fed him nori algae and live mussels split open on the shell.

Mine hasn’t ate yet it’s picked at the rocks but I fed frozen mysis and nothing and have had Nori hanging all day and the tang has ate at it with angel watching But it’s active
