Dosed 10 mls last night and within an hour it register .25 nitrates then I tested again in the morning and still has .25 then got back from work and tested a big fat 0 so I dosed 20 ml I'll test again in an hour or 2

N is close to 2ppm. I am going to say 1.75 or so.
P is between .04 and .08ppm

I am getting some cyano on the sand bed. I am not sure if the vinegar is having an issue with that or not. I have also increased my feeding some and that could be adding to the issue as well.

My alk came in at 9
My cal came in at 400.

I am going to back off the alk some to get it around 8 and hold it there and try to keep my cal where it is.

I could be crazy but I believe my green monti has darkened just slightly. I also have a very fresh frag of green slimer that I can tell is already encrusting over the super glue. No significant change in either birdsnest to report yet or the purple stag.

All the frogspawn, hammer and torch seem to be loving it. Fat and fully extended. Zoas all look great as well. Overall very happy with the results so far.

After dosing 20 mls now I register 1ppm should I add 20 more mls to get it up to 2 ppm which is my goal or should I wait and see what happens tomorrow afternoon

When my nitrates started to rise I noticed it in my lps first, then zoas, and then the sps.
Luckily my nitrates are staying at 4/5 ppm.

You are right I my Zoas never fully opened and today they were fully opened

It's crazy because I almost killed my corals in search of idea clean water like I read time and time again. But 2 years later it seems like it's everywhere now to not have "clean" water. At least now I know and someone took the time to explain it to me and helped me out of the ultra low nutrient system hole.

Looks like your on the right track. I can dose 15ml once a week now and keep my No3 at 2ppm. Not sure how high I need it to go, but need my phosphates to start going up as well.

What about feeding aminos, coral foods or not rinsing the fish food ?

I haven't tried aminos yet. I am feeding Reef Chili 2x a week and don't rinse the food ever. Maybe more Reef Chili then?

I also cut back on my GFO down to 1/4 cup. But maybe turning off the reactor for a few days might be a good thing.

I fed like crazy for almost a month before I got any nitrate reading. I was over feeding 2 times a day and feeding coral once a day. For almost 4 weeks. I finally balance out and now sit at 4/5 ppm without having to dose.

I believe I found the missing link to my tank. Came home today and the tank looks amazing I have to test to see what's the nitrate reading now. My rocks somehow are clear of this brownish tint that it had from the Dino outbreak and all the acros are a bit darker. Noticeable differences in reds and all the Zoas are still wide open

That is great Luis. I haven't tested mine tonight. I was out of town yesterday and just got back. Will in a bit. All my zoas look great. I can tell the tips and outer edges of green Monti is coloring up also. My stag is encrusting finally and my green slime is taking off.

I have some pretty bad cyano in one part of tank but I think it's just a phase that will correct itself. Not going to change anything and see if it will burn itself out. I am going to wean off the vinegar. After talking to Russ it is just counteracting with the nitrate dosing.
