New eye candy...

Nice grabs
the ECC hybride looks diffrent then mine maybe its the light

From my understanding, with stacking you manually change the focus for a number of different shots. Notice how in my last pic the the back of the acan is blurry, when stacking you adjust to the last pic with the front of the pic blurry and the back of the acan would be in focus. Stack them together and you have the entire piece in focus for viewing.

If you want more depth of feild you want a longer shutter speed. The longer the shutter is open the more of the pic will be in focus that is close to your focal point.

Here is a pic with some different lighting, sorry its a bit blurry. BTW, how would this acan compare to a skittles acan?

Skittles
-typical red/orange inside with green star striping through it
-purple tentacle ring
-outer tissue blends from green to yellow to orange to red.
-has the typical purple outer tissue on the ridges.

Again, they change colors, but IMO its missing a few colors to be 'skittles'.

-great pickup though...

Thanks, I grabbed it from his growout tank. That tank is built for growth not exactly color, I assume the colors will change with a lower light placement.

The pics are from a $200 canon P&S. I am not all that familiar with the settings but I will give that a try. Im really just too lazy to break out the tripod and I assume a longer shutter speed will need me to use one.

Is that your avatar? I like my acan and am very happy to have it, however I have to admit I like yours better.

Thanks everybody else for the kind words.

Sorry for more pics but I was playing with the lighting and camera, got a couple more on the photobucket so why not...

On this pic you can see the colony has different coloration towards the top. What are the chances they will stay like that or will one half gradually change to look like the other?
