Hello,
I picked up this favia at TSM Sunday. It’s pretty spectacularly colored, really want to make sure it thrives. I moved it up off the sand bed a bit yesterday because sand was settling on it a little. Its just sitting on a flat angled rock, was wondering if I should glue it?
I never had a favia before, I was wondering if it should expand at all? It generally always looks as pictured. No noticeable expansion. The mouths occasionally open briefly. I have never really seen feeding tentacles to speak of, even after dark with food introduced (it might have a few extremely tiny ones).
So, it is normal to look relatively static or is it stressed? I don’t want it to suddenly decline. I’ve heard some can look like mine and not vary much in appearance, but wanted to get the community’s thoughts.
Thanks, as ever.
