New Female Watchman Goby?

Hi everyone,

I have a small-mid size yellow watchman goby, probably a bit bigger than an inch long, currently paired up with a tiger pistol shrimp. They get along great and I love watching them pal around the tank and peek out from their den. They've been in there together for about 3 months now. I was at my LFS today and saw a beautiful looking female YWG, pretty much the same size as my current YWG. I've seen pictures and videos with them paired up together also with a pistol shrimp, and was wondering if it would be okay to add the female in now or if they would fight as my current YWG is already established? Just wondering. Thanks!

Having a reef tank is all about experimentation. Why not give it a try, as long as you have a place to re-home the goby if things don't work out. If the tank is big enough, it could just den up in another part of the tank.
