I just installed new filters and membrane into my BRS 5 stage RODI system. I've also installed an in line TDS meter.

Currently, it is reading 6.

How many gallons of RODI do I have to make before I can expect to see that number drop to zero?

This is a bit distressing since the OLD media was putting out a TDS of 2.

If memory serves me right you need to push 10 to 20 gallons or so to flush everything out. I have the BRS 150 gallon 7 stage pro plus and I just put the hose in the drain and let it run for a few hours.

As I mentioned in the OP, my old filters were giving me TDS of 2. The effect of a 2 TDS weren't terrible, however I did notice a slight uptick in algae growth on the glass.

So once it hit 2, I started saving the water. Eventually it dropped to 1 and I expect that zero is not far behind.

Thank you for the response.

What is your incoming tds? I have 95 going into the unit, 2 coming out of the second membrane into the first stage of di, 0 going into the second di stage and 0 obviously going out the third di stage.

Whats your psi running to it?

Just went through this too. Have the same setup as Hitman and just changed out all the filters/resin. At 55-60 psi I was getting 2 tds before my di (stage 4), zero after the 5th stage. Put a booster pump on it, now I'm getting zero out of the 4th stage, according to the tds meter.

I have 90 psi on my set up. Before I turned the pressure up I had the same issue

I just finished putting together a water station and replaced all filter media. I have installed an in line TDS meter where the tank water comes out. It reads 1 there. I never concern myself with what is going in as that is the filter's job. If I am not getting zero coming out, something is wrong.

How does pressure going in effect TDS coming out?

pushes more water through the membranes
