Hello, I've been studying all available info and before making my purchase I would like Opinions!

So I have a 60g Fish Only (fake rocks with live sand) that's 48L x 12W. My cabinet will only fit a 10 inch wide sump. My only decent choice would be the Eshopps RS 75 and the Aqueon Proflex model 2. I'm probably going with the Eshopps because the Aqueon is too long and I'm afraid that it will be too tight. The Eshopps is rated for 10-75g tanks.

I'm leaning to stick with Eshopps and getting the S-120 skimmer with the PF800 overflow box. Probably getting the Rio 2500 at 4ft with 529 gph or can even go higher with the 3100 with 690gph at 4ft. I can also choose the Rio hyper flow 14hf at 660gph at 4ft. These are my only choices since my last chamber will hold a max pump size of 3.5x9 inch.

Do you guys think the Rs75 sump will be a fine choice for this setup?

Thanks!

I have the Proflex Model 2 and have no complaints about it. I currently run about 650 gallons per hour through it for my 40 breeder. Had it for about 2 years now.

That was my original choice but since it's pretty long I will probably have to remove the a piece of wood of my cabinet to put it in and then put the wood back on. I'm sure it will fit but like I said seems it will be a bit tight on there... I read online the Proflex 2 can handle up to 1100gph but haven't seen anything on the eshopps rs75

Looks like you are on a budget and have a tight space. The Eshopps will work, but you would not have a refugium. I would suggest a
Jebao DCS-3000 845GPH Submersible Pump with Controller
which will fit in that sump. The DCT-4000 is 3.5" wide and may not fit. This pump will allow you to adjust the flow and has the lack of noise.

Look up the silencing trick on the overflow box too. It is loud without it.

Thanks for the recommendation of the pump. Going to take a look at it.

That's what I had to do with mine :) It was to long to fit in the front door. So I took the side panel off, and slid it in, and put the side panel back on lol

Did you do this with the established tank already? I'm scared the weight will be too much
Yes I did :) I originally had the proflex 1 sump, and I accidentally broke it doing maintenence. So I upgraded to the proflex 2 sump. Pretty easy changeover. Just had to move the heater up to the display tank, ran without a skimmer, and kept my powerheads going.

Can you give me a link of the DCS 3000 where I can buy it? Tks

Reefbreeders.com has a nice assortment of Jebao equipment as well as their own branded versions of that equipment.

Just as another option, and I don't know if it's in your budget, but Lifereef makes sumps to your desired specs. You tell Jeff your dimensions and what equipment you need, and he'll build it to accomplish that. You're kinda limited with the width on the tank. You also have to make sure the sump will handle all backflow.

Trigger Systems can also build you a custom sump as well.
