Hi all,

The third day of having a leather finger coral and he’s bending over pretty bad, my lps corals are fine.

He’s in an area of good flow and good lighting, yesterday was suppose to be the day that I check my parameters but was out so today I will check.

It’s my first soft coral as it caught my eye being so green, the green toadstool frag behind is also bent over??

The lights have just came on and started to ramp up.

I would just give it more time. It probably has not yet shed the wax coating they develop. If it does not stand up a tad more try to increase the flow to that coral.

Just checked today at peak lighting schedule and it was upright, and your right it looks to be shredding it’s wax coating

Update;

My finger coral is still sulking and limp, the toadstool is upright and polyps extending but still shredding.

My finger coral is limp since Monday, should I be concerned? I can still see it shedding.

My devils hand has been like this for over a month after doing great. I have been fighting high nitrates which had jumped to 100+. My nitrates are down to 20-40 ppm and devils hand is looking much better. Also moved to higher flow a couple days ago. Polyps still not out though. I think as long as it’s not turning black in spots you’re ok

My coral is standing up right with a little polyp extension but it’s still shredding, so I’m not to worried as I think it was just acclimating to the tank
