My Red Sea 34 gal. mixed reef tank is about 10 weeks old.

I currently have a tailspot blenny, royal gramma, springeri damsel, and 2 clowns. The most active are the clowns and royal gramma. My springeri damsel hides and only comes out to eat. Blenny is mostly perched on a rock. I am wanting some movement, active color in the tank. A centerpiece fish so to speak.

In a perfect world, our wish list was a six line wrasse, mandarin dragonet, and a flame angel. But some considerations, I am not going to keep both a wrasse and dragonet simply because they will compete for pods. Also, 3 more fish is too much, it will start getting cramped. One, possibly two more fish will do it. I have had a six line years back and he was outstanding, no aggression. For the flame, it may not be enough room and I may not want to risk it munching my coral. I do have a good pod population at the moment. So, its down to:

Option 1: six line (caution inverts/aggression) OR mandarin (caution blenny/basslets) and flame angel (caution corals/inverts).

Option 2: six line OR mandarin and a fire fish/court jester goby/kauderns cardinal (caution w/blenny)

Option 3: Suggestions for 1-2 awesome/centerpiece fish?

The tank is too small for a flame and blennys need a constant pods (pretty sure you know).
How about Banggai cardinals ?

Gobies are awsome, yellow is very active, green and citron goby just hide and perch around, very cool. Also... lately ive been really eye balling radial filefish i beleive they are called. so unique

A Bangai (Kauderns) Cardinal is on my list for sure. I love their looks but if I remember right, they're not super active and kind of swim in place. So I am debating.

I did see that filefish and that was a thought too. I don't know anything about them though. Are they active swimmers?

I had a 34g tank before. IMHO, you are really close to maxed out at 5 fish. Depending on your filtration and aggression you might be able to add 1 more.

I would recommend a goby or a possum wrasse. A six like is too aggressive. A dwarf angel won't be happy in that size.

everything you need is right here

Thanks, how about a Rainfordi Goby? They seem cool and fairly active?

I've never kept a rainsford goby because I read that they are like mandarins when it comes to feeding and survivability.

I looked having a yellow watchman with a pistol shrimp. If you want something a little more active. I have an Aurora goby that's it and about all the time.

For possum wrasses, check out a pink streaked (also called cryptic) wrasse. They look like pink versions of a six line, but are really peaceful.

That would be correct. Banggai and PJ Cardinals are kind of "Stoner" Fish, they just sit there.
