New fish aggression

Don't Ya'll think those acclimation boxes are too small for a new fish? I purposely did my aquascape to be able to use a piece of egg crate to separate the tank front to back
Also good deal with netting the fish ! Least stress on the fish & Yourself !
The "Drain Technic" is a real good way to catch a fish .
Thanks Mr Cote for my butting in like this .

I think egg crate the length of the tank is an excellent idea for those who have planned ahead for that / can manage to make it work. I assume you mean those sheets of white squared plastic material sold at Lowe’s and Home Depo as florecent light diffusers? I was surprised the last time I bought a sheet— it ran almost $30, if I recall. But it’s useful stuff to have around when you have a tank; lids, dividers, etc. ;Penguin

So the angel has showed no interest in the tang today while it is in the acclimation box but the clown has gone to attack the tang a few times and just smashes into the box. So I'm thinking tonight at lights out I'll try and catch the clown and put the tang in the aquarium and the clown in the box

Got the clown without having to drain the tank. Took about 30 minutes with a net. So tang is in the DT and clown is in the acclimation box

Anytime I add a new fish to my tank I turn off all the lights & wrap the tank with a beach towel or blanket until the lights would normally go off that night, in the morning there is usually no issues with agression from any of the fish.
