getting a new royal gramma this evening...my QT is in ship-shape, however, I put Cupramine in ahead of time...I changed water, but still at .30...is this a bad thing?...should I change more water...no idea if the fish is coming from copper or not...like to know before he arrives...thanks...

I think I would do another large water change/run carbon to lower the Cu level before he arrives. Grammas can be a bit sensitive to copper. TTM (even just using a bucket) would be ideal for a gramma.

How sensitive are they...I removed all copper as you said...prefer to keep my QT rather than TTM because I've never done that before...should I not use the Cupramine, or put it in gradually say to .3...or whatever...also, can I use a bit of prazipro at the same time...this regimen has been successful with ywg, tail spot, chalk bass and purple ff...Thanks...

Personally, I would take it slow with a Gramma. Make sure he is eating and then do your two rounds of Prazipro. Treat with copper after that. They're not very disease resistant, so ich or velvet should show up fairly quickly.

HF...as it turned out, the gramma came in about .3 Cupramine...I had already brought it to almost nothing...so I'll follow your advise from this time on...he/she is a beaut...:)

Personally, I would start at zero and slowly raise the Cu level over a period of 4-5 days.

I also use Cupramine during the QT process and raise to therapeutic level over a 7 day period. I strongly recommend having everyone in QT before you start using copper. It may not end well otherwise.

NY Aquatic who has the fish now already has it in just under 3...should I take it out or leave it at that level?
Whatever Cu level they already have it in, I would try to match that perfectly.
