Hey guys so my tanks been going for 7 months now and for the most of it I only had my clownfish and a starry blenny. It's a 45 gallon, Recently in the past month I finally starting adding additional livestock. First three corals, torch,candcane, and sympodium all doing well. Then a Bangaii cardinal doing well and another clownfish that paired with my old one. Just yesterday I added a pearly jawfish and melanarus wrasse. A couple new things are happening. My tank has gotten a little foggier. Could this be from the pearly jawfish digging and the sand going all over as well as when the wrasse buries him self. Seeing my starry blenny chases the wrasse once in a while. Is this normal for new additions. Also I came and checked on the tank once and the wrasse was taking a couple quick spins and hitting the rock fast. Was he marking his territory?I've been sitting in front of the tank for 2 hours and haven't seen him do it again. Lastly with a hermit crab pack I bought a crab came that wasn't blue legged. It's brown and getting a lot bigger with claws. I saw it bothering my sympodium. Any ideas what that is. Thanks for the help.

Cloudiness is partly due to the jawfish digging it could also be water quality of the tank catching up to the bioload and/or water quality itself. Just make sure your doing WC on a more frequent basis with that bioload.
With the wrasse two things can happen either it will get fed up of the blenny and put it in its place quickly. Mine put a tang 3 times its size in its place and now the tang doesn't mess with him. The other thing that may happen is that the wrasse will commit suicide and jump out of the tank if the tank doesn't have a top or enclosed canopy. If you have something to stop him from jumping he will eventually defend himself which he is more then capable of doing.
Lastly the crabs....only option if you don't have a sump with a fuge to banish them to. Get rid of them! See if your LFS will take them back as store credit and buy blue legged hermits if you really want crabs.

Wow thanks for the answers. I've been doing water changes every two weeks so I'll do one soon and see what happens. Do you think the blenny will be so much of a problem I should trade him in? Also about the hitting the rocks is that marking his territory?thanks
That is a pretty good addition to bio-load on a young tank. Especially that size. Water quality could be an issue so as said above, do frequent water changes. Agree with wrasse comment except I always recommend a lid or cover with wrasses. Even once established they just like to jump. Mine are always jumping and hitting the mesh.

Melanrus can be very temperamental in new environments and can have many parasites and diseases. Did you qt these guys? Look for spots, lethargy, laying on bottom, red blotches, eyes cloudy, twitching, banging on rocks, etc. Could be parasitic in nature or infection.
I didn't quarantine him because I don't have another tank but I was watching him at the store for a month. He looks fine swims around all day, eats, just did a couple rock hits. Is there something I could do as precaution? Thanks I sure hope it's not parasites.
That is good news about watching him for month. I would just keep and eye on him. Any symptoms then react. Right now could do mare damage than good with stress. Keep and eye on all the fish. Let us know if something is amiss.
