I just bought 2 clowns and 1 cardinal. They've been in the tank for 2 days, but haven't eaten much. They do try to eat, but spit out everything right after that. I've tried a lot of food, including Tetra Flake, Omega One pellets, Omega One Brine Shrimp, NLS sinking pellet, and NLS Thera A+ mini pellets. They swallowed none of them, while my FW fish would go crazy for any of those food.

I'm kinda worried now. :(

They may be more accustomed to frozen, marine specific foods. Generic freshwater foods aren't the best option.

You could try pre-soaking a mixture of the foods you have for 5 minutes, but I would look into some frozen mysis or something ASAP.

Well I wouldn't call those food generic b
because they are for marine fish as well. People have success feeding those food. But I'll look into the frozen ones.

I would try frozen. If you want to use pellets, maybe try weening them from frozen in time.

Do you have a local fish store?

Bring a cooler and buy frozen. Maybe 3 months worth. Feed frozen and mix few pellets in. Eventually, you can add more pellets and less frozen.

Honestly, if you can buy 3 months ahead, I think you will enjoy rotating between frozen and pellets. Btw, the pellets from nls are excellent.

Yeah the NLS pellets are great but these fish are not interested at the moment

PE Mysis pellets are great too. Made be Piscine Energetics. Get them on Amazon or eBay.

You could try leaving on your powerhead to see if it triggers a feeding response. I have had 100% success with it.

How do I do that? When the powerhead is on it blows the food away before the fish can even see it. But anyway they want to eat, they just spit it out right after

Although not the best for nutrition, clownfish almost always will eat brine shrimp so I would try some frozen and work them slowly onto pellets/flake over time.

Not sure if it is the glass but it looks like there are salt like grain specs on the clownfish tail? The lack of appetite could be due to a parasite... looks like ich possibly. Again can not tell if it the spots are on the glass or fish. Take a close look just to be sure is my recommendation.
