I have a Nuvo 40 that I've had running for about 4 months. Everything is going well, well, there has been some bumps but that is expected in this wonderful hobby. I'm looking for fish recommendations for the future. I wont be placing anything new in immediately, or possibly not at all, will be completely dependent on what the tank can handle. Currently I have 2 Wyoming whites (Ricky Bobby and Jolene), a royal gramma (Prince Gurgle)and a small YWG (Gus). I also have a handful of blue leg hermits (may be regretting that decision) two Mexican turbos and a candy pistol shrimp (Pete). Curious what my options are, or recommendations, for one additional fish that would be compatible with my current stock list. If I cant add anything more, i'm completely ok with that. My goal is, as i'm sure it is with everyone, is the have the fish healthy any happy. My gramma currently inhabits the area under my arch and doesn't provide much movement. My clowns hand in a corner for the most part and my YWG putzes around now and again. There isn't much movement in the tank. Looking for something to add some color to the thank. Appreciate any recommendations!

Do you have a lid on the tank? If so, there are some wrasses that would add color and be pretty active swimmers. Another option worth considering is the midas blenny.

Clown fish love strutting their stuff fun to watch!(cheap for non special ones)

I think the gramma would be the more likely bully compared with the YWG. I've kept a midas with a YWG, but I can't remember keeping a midas with a gramma. Most of the wrasses you could put in a 40 are likely a bit "tougher" than the midas if you go down that route.

The gramma is definitely a bully. He messes with my larger clown causing it to do the submissive shake. But, it happens infrequently. No one gives the YWG a hard time. He actually swims with the clowns throughout the day. Would really like to have a Midas, just want to ensure there’s a good chance of peace in the tank. No need to stress anyone out.
