I finally got some fish in my tank now Yoo-hoo I bought a angel coral beauty which is very beautiful and 2 Banggai Cardinal fish on Sunday I woke this morning and one of my Banggai Cardinal had died. I check my water everything was good I don’t know why he died. I’m kinda sad first fish I purchased died already.

How long has your tank been set up? Without knowing, I'm guessing you added too many fish at one time and the bio load was too much for the weakest of the bunch.

Yes they are fine.
I did notice the small Banggai Cardinalfish that died the second day that he was in the tank found him hiding behind one of the rocks in the tank maybe he was being bullied by the bigger Banggai.

That's sad.
Sounds like you were very methodical.

How did you acclimate them?
Sometimes the stress of being delivered to the pet store, then moved again can get to them.
Probably a good idea to keep a lookout for any disease symptoms, just in case.

Sorry bout your fish. Congrats on getting some fish in your tank. Hope it's smooth sailing from here.

I acclimated 30 minutes maybe that was the problem.

In my experience, Banggai Cardinals are like Chromis in the sense that they tend to kill each other off. I first tried a group of 5 Banggai and they killed each other off in my QT and only one made it into my DT. I then tried three more and the same thing happened leaving only one. I then gave up and just hoped that the two that made it would get along and 5 months later they are still alive and doing well. They actually stick together everywhere they go and are never more than a few inches away from each other. I really wish I had more, but I'm done trying and having them kill each other and will just be happy with the pair I got.
