I know I am not the only one here who enjoys examining the microscopic world of our tanks. I think it would be cool to have a forum topic dedicated to this. A place to ask tech questions, get microscopic IDs and just show off a little.

Good idea! Also it is a good idea for every reefer to have one. The cost of one is not very high compared to the many other things we buy. I have been meaning to get one for years but just never got around to it. Now that I have one to measure rotifer density, I use it quite a bit.

+1 I landed on this after playing with my new microscope, looking for some info :) any good sites or links to threads on the topic would be appreciated.

Yes! @revhtree can we make this happen? it would be a great way to learn more about out reef tanks. A simple $10 "Toy" microscope works great. It would be nice to be able to find out if something is an algae or a bacteria. There are many different types of Dinos. You can't tell what it is by the naked eye. Each type has a different way to get rid of them. Having a forum that helps choose what type of scope to get, and photos to help ID, and how to make a slide of the sample would be invaluable. Thanks
