My new Foxface goes crazy if I put my glass scraper or my spot feeding tool in the water. Half of his body was out of the water today when I tried scraping the glass. I had to stop due cleaning because of it. Any ideas? Will he get used to it?

They can be very skittish when first introduced. Feed him a small amount every time you approach the tank for a few days... it won't take long for him to associate you with food and follow you around like a puppy. We've kept 3 over the years and all would eat out of my hand.

Dito.

Skittish at first. But they end up being great fish.

Yeah he is fine with me feeding him and walking around the tank. But when something goes inside the tank he freaks out.

Ya well fish do that sometimes. Mine used to freak out. And change to grey but now it's hard to freak it out. I wouldn't worry about it unless it jumps out the tank

+1 on this. We introduced a foxface in october, shy at first, but now six months later he's just as content as can be. The belly on this guy is HUGE, eats everything like a frieking hog. His only strange behavior, and it's been going on since introduciton is every so often he pokes his mouth out of the water, goes back into the water, and bubbles exit out of his gills. Just strange behavior, otherwise totally normal.
