New frag grow out tank

I recently got my hands on a 40 gallon breeder that was a turtle tank, but now I'm going to tun it into a frag grow out system.
The dimensions for the tank that can be filled with water is 36"L X 18" W X 8" H

I'm trying to figure out what light, filter and power head flow.
MY girlfriend suggested that I put the same light that I have on my 70 gallon.
witch is
4x T5HO 36" JBJ light w/ three led moon lights
2X 10k
2x420 actinic bulbs

but what do you guys think?

Reef Breeders Controllable Series Programming Instructions,or a sunbright LED.

Im using two on a 48x18x12 tank, i love the colors & growth but im not crazy about the coverage. Im using 120 degree optics, lights are 16" above the surface and ive still got dark corners. I can turn the knobs up, but then i start to irritate coral that are directly under the fixtures (too much light, and the corners are still a bit dim). Im thinking of selling mine and getting a 6 bulb T5 w/ATI bulbs. Then getting some LED strips for that awesome LED actinic color.

thats what ill be doing if i ever change this sytem. I just dont like having dark corners/spots. 4-6 T5's for 18" width + some royal blue led's worked in there somewhere to get the led pop in the corals.

What does the 90°, 120 ° mean?

Thats lens angle, for the LED. Lower number = narrower light cone. Higher number = wider light cone. For a shallow tank, you want a wide light cone unless you need to mount the lights high above the tank. Break out the protractor and test some angles to see what will work best for you.

Its an OK fixture, but for the price id rather get this:

Then fill it up with ATI bulbs (Blue + and Coral + would be my picks) Then DIY some LED's of your choice. Hell you could probably even build one of these and use it like a spot light for actinics when you photograph the coral/tank:

I honestly don't think you can beat the Evergrow IT2080 for that tank.

I like the T5s and run ATI's on my two Zoa tanks and 40b frag tank, I use some 3watt Royal Blue Crees for pop.
