New frag tank

Hey guys, would anyone have an idea as to why a new frag tank tied into my existing setup would just explode with what appears to be long stringy snot like algea? This is blowing my mind.

Sounds like dinos or cyano, but without an image I'm only guessing.

Does anyone know what this stringy stuff is? And maybe why it would be in one of 4 tanks tied to the system
