New frag tile system

IMG_0496.jpeg
Update, I just poured silicone in a negative to make a mold for the egg crate frag plug

IMG_0515.jpeg
Very rough mold, going to be focusing on surface quality and leg quality, I got a vibrating plate to shake bubbles out of the concrete(been tested and works) poured a second round of new plugs with the table

Test fit for the frame, still need to dial in the plugs but slowly coming along

It has to do with the grate size, I would have to do substantially bigger to get them to butt up against each other( can do it)

Aren't these just a copy of the Ecotech plugs? Hopefully Ecotech doesn't have a patent on the design, or you could find yourself with an issue if you try to sell them.

It is different, dimensions are completely different. Plus the ecotech don’t butt up against each other. Plus I’m pretty sure they don’t have a patent(I looked ecotech and it’s patent company) they are based off them though, my original frame idea is for them. I just thought I can make it better. Plus I haven’t sold any, might just keep it as a pet project and do personal use

That's what I thought

Back in the day

I bought some frags from a vendor who used concrete for homemade frag plugs

I could not cut them with bone cutters, the material was too hard

The hope is to not cut, essentially work with a “seeded” frag plug. Just pop it in a new tile and it just grows straight across

Why don’t you just 3d print the plugs instead of messing with concrete

Believe it or not cement is a lot cheaper, a kilogram(2.2pounds I think) of filament will cost me 20$. 50 pounds costed me a little over 15$.the money is really in the silicone for the molds, but I can pop out like 250 at a time. But to be honest I did a lot of adjusting, I could have probably make enough molds to do 500ish at a time.
