Oh 90 is better than 75! if you go 90 just go 120 and if you go 120 just go ahead and get a 180 lol you see where this is going.

I will have to look at the dimensions but I think a 90 is wider (front to back) than a 75 which makes it more ideal for rock work.

Trust me, if I can do it, you can do it. I was scared too. I drilled my 40 with glass holes kit. No problems. Just make sure the tank isn't tempered glass.

Ditch the sand and get new dry sand. No need to spend the extra money for live sand IMO.

Got it its a Tom Rapids Pro Series Rp3 canister filter. Marine depot sells them.

Meh... I'd sell it but that's me personally. I would use a sump and skimmer with some macro algae. I think a good skimmer rated for larger than your tank would do way more than this.

Another option instead of buying pre-mixed saltwater from a LFS.
Buy a few 5 gallon water jugs and fill them at a local Walmart or grocery store. I did this and mixed my own in 32 gallon trash cans .This worked really well for me.

I planned on buying ro water from my lfs and mixing my own salt, gonna need a lot of water though lol

I think I paid 35¢/gallon at the grocery store. The LFS (40 miles away) charges 40¢/g for water & $9 for 5g of saltwater. I have a small RO unit that produces ~40gpd, so I am good for water changes.
The people here are great and won't steer you wrong.
