Hi everyone. My name is Dave and im new to r2r even though ive been a member for a while. I currently run a 600L mainly sps aquarium. Currently dealing with AEFW but winning the battle even though 7kg of coral went into the bin. Ive just been reading through the sps section and already found some great advice.

Thanks, Dave

Well, welcome to R2R Dave. Glad to have you here. This is the spot to get help from wonderful people. They really know their stuff. Would love to see pics of your tank.

I am new to r2r too and I like how it is really a global connection. alot of other sites are local in nature and that can limit the knowledge pool and more tenured members think they know everything. I have been keeping a tank for a couple years now and there is always something new to learn or share!

thanks for the welcome folks, here is my tank a few weeks ago before i started the battle with AEFW.

Hi there Dave!! You have a gorgeous tank! Thanks for sharing, and welcome to R2R!!

Welcome to the forum! Your pics look great. Sorry about the AEFW

Greetings Dave! Thanks for sharing the pics of your beautiful tank. We are sorry to hear about your AEFW difficulties. We dealt with it ourselves many years ago.

Thanks everyone. The AEFW has been getting me down for a few months to be honest and I thought I was controlling it with the blaster and mj1200. I noticed hat in the centre of the large acro nana and tricolour that eggs had appeared as the baster and power head would not get to the centre of the coral, suppose its like trying to blow a massive fan through a forest. I took the drastic step of binning my larger corals with a few exceptions but I fragged them all first. I now have two largish racks named the ark, lol. I didn't realise how many acro,s and millis I had until I needed to do this. I've dipped 3 times this week and some of the corals are already improving greatly.

Hi, welcome to r2r! I love the pics that you have posted. I am interested in hearing about how reef keeping in the UK differs from the US.

Aside from the AEFW, you have a beautiful tank. What are your tank specs, have any pics of the sump area? I gots to know! ;)
