Bristle worm.. It is safe for your tank but just DO NOT touch them! They sting. You usually find them under rocks and in the sand bed.Found in refugem just now ??????????????????????

Yeah bristle worm can be a good scavenger and part of cuc; just becareful sometimes they get too big.

Weird!! I just did a sweep this morning and was shocked at how many I found! For every one you find, there are 200 more. At least I heard that. I think wrasses eat them? Any thing else eat?

They are extremely common..yes wrasses eat them...many fish, gobies, dragonets, crabs and shrimp all eat bristle worms.... I don't think there are necessarily hundreds for everyone you see but there are often many. You need livestock to eat them to keep them under control..lol

I've turned on my reds at night just to see how my tank looks like.
Many many of these critters come out. What was cool was the baby ones seem to have mastered the ability to sort of tornado themselves across the tank from rock to rock riding the water flow... So like tiny "S" shaped worms spinning around like a coin as they leaped from one rock to land somewhere else. Pretty sure they were doing it on purpose to scavenge for food. ;Yuck

Is there a video on YouTube of that thing? That's you?!?!? I still have bad dreams about that thing. If I ever saw that in my tank I'd shove it out in the front yard. I don't ever want to see a six foot worm in person. Did you touch it?

Yes, There is a video..several videos in fact,,, the thing is creepy and no we did not touch it,,, but yes we still have it.. lol

Looks like a bristle worm. Keep the small ones they are very beneficial but the big ones have to go they can deliver a powerful sting and mess your hand up
