Hi guys. I have this new torch just coming up on 48 hours. My tank is 95% SPS so my flow on a 90 gallon cube (30x30x24) is 2x MP40 on 80% reefcrest and on tunze 6045. Do you guys think this is too much flow?

It may be alright but you should monitor it. Euphyllias don't do well in constant high flow. If you start to see the polyps contract for no reason, then it is probably the flow. They appear to be out now.

Yes too much flow, don't put it up on a ledge/point/out crop like that. Put it on the sandbed or in the nook of a rock/slightly shielded from flow. Even if it tolerates it it will be receded partially and thin, will look much better and be more relaxed in gentler flow.

Yeah I think the flow that it gets is ok, but it you may want to find a place where the flow is more random. Like on a side of one o fhe rocks where it only gets hit by flow randomly.

Thanks, I did end up finding a more sheltered spot for it.

The ollllll tang police side jab lol! It wasn't though, so quick to jump to conclusions! You must feel guilty about it ; )

I am not here to police you. I just figured you were new to the hobby so I thought I'd let you know that they are stressed out in case you were not aware. Then maybe you would ask me why and I'd explain and try to help.
