New goo?

Ive been haing some problems with algae and my LFS recommended turning my ligjs way down which is keeping it in check but just noticed a new white mucoid/jelly consistency goo on one of the rocks under my trumpet. Generally when i see new stuff it hasnt been good, any idea what it is and what if anything i should do about it.

It actually just looks like harmless sponge.

Be careful though. I have a harmless sponge that's suffocating a frag of mine. Every so often I pick it all off but it comes back

granted its a zoa/paly frag and not something as big as an LPS. If it doesnt suffocate, its great to have in your tank its diversity!
