New growth or Dying?

I bought a snail and it came with this coral on it. It seems to be growing in a tree like fashion. Does anyone know what kind it is? It also has white on the ends and I'm curious if this is new growth or the coral dying? Thanks

May bevtube worm but hard to tell under heavy blue light and slight fuzziness
