New growth?

I took these this morning with the lights off... is the white around the base and at the tips what new growth typically looks like? Also, i hardly ever see PE on this PC rainbow but it seems to be coloring up. Thats why im confused. I even check it in the middle of the night and no PE...

I am not an expert but when I see that at the tips along side of what can also be observed on the body in those pics, bad things usually follow. Sorry. Hope others have better news.

Hmm well i hope not. Those white areas are showing color under my radion when the lights are on. I took this this morning with a flashlight. The actual frag appears to be growing. I just happened to shine a light this morning and snap those pics so it made me curious...

If that’s PC rainbow, it’s in rough shape. I doubt that’s new growth unfortunately. It’s probably struggling to survive, let alone grow. Do you have any other shots in other light since you say it has “color” to it?

Ill take some when i get home under my radion. Problem is the photo looks soo blue. Is there a trick to taking pictures under the blue?

I forgot i had this. This was it when i got it. Color is similar except its got some very light green coming through at the base... ill try and take some in a little bit though.

It does not look like new growth to me either. Sorry. It kinda looks like LED burn, but unsure.

As far as paramiters go:

Xr15 pro gen 4 running ab+ at 74% for 10 hours
Alk is 8.5 (dosing a few ml of esv a day to maintain that) hanna
Cal is 430 red sea
Mag is 1400 red sea
No3 is between 8 and 12 on red sea
Po4 is 0.06 hanna ulr

Now my po4 was bottomed out a few weeks ago so i started dosing it and have slowly gotten it to 0.06

Wondering if i should lower it or turn my radion down some?

Thanks haha maybe my tank is just too young for acros. Its bare bottom which i love but i cant help but to think it slows the process down a bit.

It may not be your tank. Could be the frag to begin with. Your current pics don’t look any better, still looks in rough shape to me.

Wait to see if there is progression of the white tips or rtn begins. That will tell you. Hopefully none

It gotslightly worse but now seems to be holding steady. Funny thing is, it was doing great and growing nicely. Thats why that morning i saw it like that i was a little perplexed and took those pics. I think it had to do with my po4. I was dialing in my dosing and it didnt like the swings. I got po4 steady again but i think i may have killed it. Im leaving it be for now on to see if it turns around. Everything else seems to be ok so im just being patient. My tank seems happier with some detectable po4 vs none at all. I had some weird algae growing thats died off now. Just another learning expierence for a newb!

The frag was on a rack lower in the tank for about a month. Then i moved it to that spot. It seemed to be doing fine for a month or so and in a day it started going white. I was trying to raise po4 though because it was 0 so i had started dosing it. I think i was a bit heavy handed with the po4...
