New to the saltwater world, just got my water in the tank about a day ago and everything seems to be doing great right now, my dry rock is starting to get some purple on them, I assumed its going to do that, but my next question is when my tank goes threw it's break in period what should I add next, when should I add copepod and what not. Theres just so much info out there and everyone is diffrent and I would rather get answers from people lime me instead of people getting paid for products and such

Ps 3 of the pics are the same dont lnow how it happend but in my defense I only uploaded 2

It's looking nice so far. I personally have never added copepods to a tank, I just get everything on frozen food and it works out for me. However it would be cool to see fish foraging around the rocks for copepods. Are you adding anything to the tank to cycle it? And what fish do you plan on adding?

Also welcome to r2r

Havent really added anything to it except the chemicals to treat the water and the salt. Was just planing on moveing slow with this tank, was kinda planning on getting crabs and snails and maybe a clown next but figured I would see what everyone thought

Welcome to R2R! I encourage you to read the R2R article: The Ultimate Guide to Setting Up a Saltwater Reef Aquarium.

Secondly, to remove the duplicate pictures you can go to "edit" and then to "more options" and from that screen you will be able to remove the pictures.

We're glad you're here!

Hi Grubby! You can add copepods as soon as there's something in there for them to eat (algae, detritus, biofilm etc). Which could be today if you used any "live rock" that was already in a system.

Thanks for all the info so far, tons to read about but looks lime I'm doing the right thing so far by just takeing my time

Welcome. There’s tons of info on here. I’ve lurked for so many years and now hope to give back some of my knowledge.
